2027 the 13th International Conference on Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering (ICMRE) is set to unfold in University of Agder, Grimstad, Norway, from March 3-5, 2027. Established as a distinguished international academic platform, ICMRE has been bringing together researchers, engineers, academicians, and industry professionals since its inauguration in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2015. Following events were hosted in Nice, France (2016), Paris, France (2017 and 2018), and the University of Valenciennes, France. More recently, the conference took place in Rome, Italy (2019), and Barcelona, Spain (2020), ICMRE shifted to an online format, in collaboration with the Southern University of Science and Technology, China from 2021 to 2023, and in Milan, Italy (2024), Lille, France (2025), Oldenburg, Germany (2026). ICMRE 2027 will be sponsored by the University of Agder, Grimstad, Norway. 

The conference aims to stimulate interdisciplinary cooperation and create a space to discuss the emerging trends and challenges in mechatronics and robotics engineering. The rich program includes keynote speeches, interactive workshops, paper presentations, and poster sessions. Key areas of interest cover a broad spectrum including autonomous systems, robotic applications of artificial intelligence, control systems, sensors and actuators, human-robot interaction, and intelligent automation. By prioritizing knowledge exchange and networking, ICMRE offers a conducive environment for attendees to engage in productive dialogues and form beneficial collaborations.

The University of Agder (UiA) is one of Norway's leading public universities, renowned for its close collaboration with industry and its focus on international research excellence. Located in the heart of Southern Norway’s technology cluster, Campus Grimstad is physically integrated with Norway Health Tech and the Mechatronics Innovation Lab (MIL). This unique proximity allows students and researchers to work directly with cutting-edge industrial applications, particularly in: Mechatronics and Robotics: UiA is home to one of the most advanced robotics labs in Northern Europe. As the 13th edition of this respected conference series, ICMRE 2027 promises to be an extraordinary assembly, aiming to push the boundaries of mechatronics and robotics engineering further. Join us in 2027, as we collectively strive to shape the future of technology and robotics, and explore innovative solutions for a better world.

Call for Tracks & Special Sessions

The ICMRE 2027 organizing committee invites proposals for new tracks and special sessions. This is an opportunity to focus on specialized research areas and lead discussions within the mechatronics and robotics community.

Proposals should include:

Submission Methodss

  1. Submission Requirements

    • Language:
      English is the official language of the conference; the paper should be written and presented only in English.

    • Presentation & Publication (Full paper):
      Full paper is requested, if you also consider publishing your paper.
      All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical. Articles submitted to the Conference should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should follow the style of the Conference and are subject to both review and editing. Authors retain the right to publish an extended, significantly updated version in another periodical.

    • Oral Presentation Only(Abstract):
      If you just want to make an oral presentation during ICMRE 2027 without paper publication, then you can only submit an abstract.

  2. Submit
    • Please edit your paper with corresponding template. The paper template will be considered as one of the review parts. Please do pay attention to it.
    • Each paper should be at least 4 full pages, and additional pages(＞6) will be chargeable.
